As the year draws to a close, the commencement of KU-Band demobilization activity for a valued client recently marked the beginning of a series of decommissioning tasks that will keep NIAT’s technical team occupied in the coming months.
At the scheduled time, the team executed the decommissioning process while the vessel is onshore or in dry dock to ensure minimal disruption to the vessels ongoing operation. Throughout the procedure, the team disassembles the existing satellite communication equipment which includes the removal of antennas, modems, and cabling.
Equipment decommissioning on each vessel can be completed within a single day.
All removed equipment will be securely stored at NIAT’s warehouse, primed for future installations. Upon the vessels’ return next year, the equipment will be reinstalled and brought back into operation.
Conducting on-site operation remains an essential practice for NIAT. Leveraging a team of skilled technical experts across various fields, we ensure the efficient delivery of commissioning or decommissioning services, adhering strictly to our core principles of safety and quality.
