Bandar Seri Begawan, 11 th April 2023 – Some 12 volunteers of Network Integrity Assurance Technologies (NiAT) Sdn Bhd, a local satellite communication service provider in Brunei Darussalam, this morning participated in a gotong-royong activity to clean up two Islamic cemeteries, Kampong Kupang Muslim Cemetery and Baong Muslim Cemetery, in honor of the holy month of Ramadhan. NiAT volunteers began the cleanup at Kampong Kupang Muslim Cemetery as early as 10 in the morning, clearing the area of debris, trimming the overgrown bushes, cutting dead branches, and clearing any trash left behind before moving on to Baong Muslim Cemetery. Following the cleanup of both sites, cleaning equipment and stools were donated to both cemeteries for future use of the village residents.
Also participating in the activity were Yang Berhormat Awang Zainol bin Haji Mohamed, a member of the Legislative Council (LegCo) in his capacity as the Village Head of Kampong Putat, and members of the Village Consultative Council, Awang Maidi bin Haji Lamat and Haji Rasadi bin Samit. This event is part of NiAT’s corporate social responsibility initiative to give back to the local community and encourage its employees to participate in charitable activities during the holy month of Ramadan.
