Bandar Seri Begawan, 18 th April 2023 – Network Integrity Assurance Technologies (NiAT) Sdn Bhd, a local satellite communication service provider in Brunei Darussalam, today organized a charity shopping event titled “Shopping Raya with NiAT” for a total of 10 underprivileged families to support and purchase their Raya preparation needs in time for Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration this week.
The event was organized as part of NiAT’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative this year which aimed at promoting volunteerism and contributing back to the society.
During the event, NiAT covered up to B$300.00 worth of necessities for each of the selected family. Over twenty NiAT staff assisted the families with their grocery purchases at the Hua Ho Department Store in OneCity, Salambigar.
NiAT’s Chief Executive Officer, Lim Ming Soon, stated, “We believe it is essential to sow happiness in the lives of others, and we intend to uphold this belief through this initiative. It gives us great delight to contribute to the happiness of these families.”
“We are also pleased to provide them with financial assistance and bring them the joy of Eid so that they, too, may enjoy the upcoming festivity as much as everyone else. We must not neglect to share our success with the community and society, we are here to assist them and simply wish to make them smile. Every assistance goes a long way!”
The families were identified by Projek Feed, a social enterprise that focuses on helping economically challenged families in Brunei Darussalam.
