Network Integrity Assurance Technologies (NiAT) Sdn Bhd, a local satellite communication service provider in Brunei Darussalam, last Wednesday hosted a brunch networking session in honor of International Women’s Day celebration to acknowledge and value its female team members for their hard work and contributions to the company.
The event, which took place at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf One Riverside, was attended by both male and female employees of the company.
The session provided a platform for all employees to have an open discussion regarding gender equality in the workplace and discuss NiAT’s plan to provide a workspace that are equally comfortable for both. The discussion sheds light on all aspects of diversity among male and female employees, including the most important: belonging. To further promote gender equality within its workforce, NiAT offers flexible working arrangements for the comfort of its female employees, such as meeting their childcare needs and addressing other women-specific inconveniences.
In NiAT, there are several female engineers working hands-on in the field alongside their male counterparts, and half of the company’s key management positions are held by women. And in terms of recruitment selection, NiAT also practices gender-inclusive recruiting in which all candidates, regardless of gender and job portfolio, are evaluated equally. This reflects NiAT’s commitment to supporting women in advancing their careers, promoting gender equality in its workforce, and creating a conducive environment for its female employees.
The gathering aimed to further instill a gender-equal work culture and to raise awareness of women’s empowerment among NiAT’s employees.
