The MoU signing took place during the 28th Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth area (BIMP-EAGA) Senior Officials and ministerial Meetings on Thursday, 13th November 2025, at the Grand Ballroom of the Dusit Thani Hotel in Davao, Philippines.

The MoU established a collaborative framework for the three organizations to jointly explore and deliver Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite services and earth observation solutions for land and maritime security as well as the agricultural sectors tailored for the BIMP-EAGA region.
The signing and exchange of the MoU highlights the shared commitment of all parties to expand regional cooperation and accelerating the deployment of future-ready satellite and earth observation capabilities across BIMP-EAGA.
In addition to the MoU signing, NIAt representatives also participated in strategic discussions, networking sessions, and site visits with industry leaders, government representatives, and BIMP-EAGA stakeholders. These engagement opened avenues for deeper collaboration and helped identify future joint initiatives across the region.
This further solidifies NIAT’s regional footprint and reinforces its growing role as one of the key contributors to the advancement of satellite communications and geospatial innovation in BIMP-EAGA and beyond.
