Bandar Seri Begawan, 9th February 2026 – Network Integrity Assurance Technologies (NIAT) Sdn. Bhd., Brunei’s leading provider of satellite communication and geospatial solutions, held its NIAT Defense & Security Technology Conference 2026 at the VIP Hall, Rizqun International Hotel.
The conference gathered more than 60 representatives from relevant national defense and security agencies, providing a dedicated platform to examine secure communication systems and locally managed geospatial technologies aimed at enhancing operational readiness and resilience efforts in Brunei Darussalam.
In his welcoming remark, Ashley Jeffre, NIAT’s Head of Business Development and Marketing (BDM), emphasized the growing importance of technological resilience amid today’s evolving security landscape.
“In an increasingly complex and evolving security environment, strengthening our nation’s defense capabilities remains a critical priority. This includes enhancing border security to safeguard territorial integrity and economic resources, as well as improving surveillance, monitoring and response capabilities across multiple operational sectors”.
The programme featured a series of presentations delivered by NIAT’s in-house experts including Sales Lead, Nur Syazillah binti Sahardi on “Strengthening Ops with Resilient MESH Connectivity”; GIS Technician, Nur Azimatul Aniqah binti Haji Azaman with “Connected Skies for Secured Borders”, and GIS Engineer, Muhd Bazil Hijazi bin Haji Muhd Bazil Nabil Fikri with “Assured Command & Control Beyond Line of Sight”.
Following the presentations, attendees participated in live demonstrations showcasing NIAT’s capabilities in real-world scenarios. The demonstrations featured secured satellite-based communication systems, real-time geospatial intelligence processes, drone-assisted surveillance, and integrated command-and-control dashboards. each session reflected NIAT’s commitment to delivering operational relevant, sustainable, locally supported solutions aligned with Brunei Darussalam’s border defense and security priorities.
