Network Integrity Assurance Technologies (NiAT)’s technical team kicked off the month of June by installing a second Ku-Band system on one of Brunei’s government vessels – the second vessel to use NiAT’s services.
The installation took place at Muara Harbor. The equipment was successfully installed within seven days as a result of a collaborative efforts between NiAT’s team and the vessel’s maintenance crew.
Gyro Intellian Antenna, CISCO Switch, iDirect Modem, CISCO Ip Phones, and EnGenius Access Point were among the equipment installed aboard the vessel. All equipment have been tested by NiAT prior to its deployment.
A sea trial will be conducted to evaluate the VSAT’s stability and network before the vessel is deployed.
VSAT technology is capable of delivering reliable internet access for the whole vessel while at sea, enabling the fleet personnel to remain in constant contact with their headquarters and enhancing their ability to operate within the vessel efficiently.
