NIAT Successfully Installed AIS Technology for A Key Client

Last April, two technical specialists from Network Integrity Assurance Technologies (NIAT) Sdn. Bhd.  successfully installed Automatic Identification System (AIS) technology for a key client in Kuala Belait.  

The setup included the installation of several key components such as antennas, GPS receivers, and an AIS antenna, all tailored for a smooth integration with the client’s current system for vessel monitoring and reporting.

The AIS Aids to Navigation (AtoN) technology installed helps to enhance situational awareness by broadcasting and receiving information on the vessel’s position, speed and course. Equipped with transceivers and antennas, the system allows real-time data exchange between vessels, maritime authorities, and shore-based stations.

The purpose of the installation aimed towards boosting the client’s maritime safety and navigational capabilities, which are vital for industries that depends on real-time vessel tracking and identification.
