Network operators are often on the lookout for more cost-effective ways to meet the growing demand of satellite connection. NiAT currently offers a cost-effective satellite communication service that allows numerous users to receive their own dedicated bandwidth through shared antenna.
NiAT recently completed the installation of the Intellian V100x at PVD5 to provide network access to both Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) and Baker Hughes through a single antenna.
How does it work?
NiAT established a network for BSP on PVD5 in the same manner that we did on the preceding rig. We then provide internet connectivity to BSP with the same VSAT deployed previously as a backup to BSP’s primary link.
NiAT also provided fiber connection and a dedicated router/switch to serve Baker Hughes’ network in two of the cabins onboard PVD5. Additionally, we also equipped both cabins with IP phones.
Through this alternative approach, clients can now enjoy dedicated bandwidth for their own applications and operations via a single antenna without fear of network overlap. BSP and Baker Hughes shared not only the antenna in this case, but most importantly potential for cost savings.
NiAT strives to serve Brunei’s varied sectors with a comprehensive and completely customizable range of satellite communication services. We are the reliable licensed satellite communication provider in Brunei.
