Description
Hughes 9502 BGAN Terminal
The most advanced machine-to-machine BGAN terminal in the world. The Hughes 9502 One-piece Terminal has the highest industry rating for ingress protection (IP66), exceptionally low power consumption, and an integrated antenna ideal for un-attended sites with M2M applications such as SmartGrid, environmental monitoring, surveillance, pipeline control, well site automation and other long-term unmanned SCADA systems.
FOR SMARTGRID, SCADA, M2M
Somewhere far way, on a lonely windswept plain, a silent, dust-covered sentinel pings the skies, making sure your critical data makes its way home…
And if it’s drawing less than 1 Watt in idle mode, then for sure it’s a Hughes 9502 One-piece Terminal with integrated antenna. Sure, it might be lonely out there, but the Hughes 9502 One-piece likes it that way. Built specifically for long-term, un-attended sites with M2M applications, or SCADA systems that require long-distance communications links for critical data exchanges, the single-piece design is the world’s most-advanced BGAN M2M all-IP terminal.
THEY DON’T GET ANY TOUGHER THAN THIS
Rated IP66 for ingress protection, the 9502 One-piece BGAN terminal is at the top of the industry scale. With a 66 rating, the unit is fully-sealed against particles and dust, and able to operate for long-term deployments in regions subject to wind-borne particulates or dust-storms. It also means that the single-piece construction with integrated antenna is highly-resistant to wet-weather of all kinds, able to withstand high-powered jets of water from every direction.
Properly secured using the optional mount, the Hughes 9502 One-piece has a wind-survival speed of 161 kph (100 mph). Its an all-climate, all-weather terminal, with an operational temperature range that goes from sub-freezing to extreme heat: -40° to +75° C (-40° to +176° F).
With these operational parameters, you can deploy the Hughes 9502 One-piece anywhere the INMARSAT system of communication satellites reaches, and be confident that your systems will be in contact and connected even in extreme conditions.
ENERGY-EFFICIENT
Remote locations that rely on solar battery arrays, or other stored-energy solutions to remain in operation need efficient, low-power devices that help conserve energy over the long-term. The low power-consumption of the Hughes 9502 makes it ideal for sites that are remote, off-the-grid, or power-challenged. Drawing less than 1 watt in idle mode, less than 20 watts sending and less than 3 watts receiving makes the Hughes 9502 the right solution for sites with sensitive power budgets, enabling the Hughes 9502 to provide end-to-end IP connectivity for even the most remote, power-challenged locations.
