Bandar Seri Begawan, 5th July 2025 – Network Integrity Assurance Technologies (NIAT) Sdn. Bhd., Brunei’s sole provider of satellite communications, has recently commemorated a major milestone – 15 years of its successful operation.
Held at the JHotel’s JBallroom last Saturday – with a prestigious gala dinner held at the JBallroom, JHotel in Kiulap.
The celebration brought together NIAT’s Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lim Ming Soon, and over 50 employees from across the organization to honor 15 years of NIAT service in delivering satellite connectivity and geospatial solutions.
“This 15-year anniversary is not just about looking back,” said CEO Lim Ming Soon. “It’s about acknowledging how far we’ve come – from handling basic satellite communication services to now powering over 30 gyro antennas across the country. We’ve become an enabler for industries operating in the most remote areas”.
He also reflected on the company’s growth, which includes rebranding, consistent team growth, the declaration of its first shareholder dividend, records of industry awards, and its continued investment in local talent.
“What makes NIAT different is our people,” he added. “We’ve always believed in building a resilient all-local workforce. That’s why we continue to invest in developing their capabilities yet creating a fun conducive working environment for everyone”.
“We’ve proven we can handle change and grow. Everytime the market shifts, we adapt and come out stronger. We’ve explored new frontiers and expanded our presence as we enter new sectors and that means, new opportunities and challenges. All of this, it tells us one thing. We are gradually growing in the right direction”.
The anniversary dinner featured musical and dance performances by the NIAT staff and followed with a service award presentation honoring long-serving employees.
As NIAT looks ahead, the company hopes to expand its technological offerings and further strengthen its position as a key player in Brunei’s digital transformation journey – aligning with the nation’s goals of sustainable development, industry resilience and innovation-driven growth.
