As part of our commitment to supporting education and nurturing future ICT talents, Network Integrity Assurance Technologies (NIAT) Sdn. Bhd. recently collaborated with the School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT), Politeknik Brunei, to provide industry guidance and practical exposure to students undertaking their Final Year Projects (FYP) titled “Network Asset inventory and IP Address Management (IPAM)”.
Through this two-month collaboration, seven (7) students, accompanied by one (1) instructor, received guidance and supervision from NIAT. The students gained hands-on exposure to areas such as data inventory classification and distribution, as well as data protection and security. They also had the opportunity to engage with NIAT experts, helping them better understand industry expectations while strengthening their communication and presentation skills.
NIAT’s involvement with Politeknik Brunei also extends to serving as a member of the External Review Committee (ERC) for the proposed Diploma in Digital Solutions. Through this role, NIAT shares industry perspectives and provides feedback on the programme structure alongside representatives from industry and higher education institutions.
Continuing this support, NIAT also attended the students’ Final Year Project Exhibition, “IMPIAN – Today’s Act, Tomorrow Impact,” held at the International Convention Centre (ICC), as well as another exhibition at the Lifelong Learning Centre (L3C), Lambak.
Through collaborations like this, NIAT continues to support educational institutions by sharing industry knowledge and creating opportunities for students to gain practical experience beyond the classroom. By strengthening the connection between industry and academia, NIAT hopes to play a role in developing skilled and industry-ready talents for the future.
